Martine, known affectionately to friends and family as Tiggy wants to invite people into her artwork, to see value and reward in engaging with slowness in a world of instant gratification.
She is a mixed media artist inspired by colour, form and texture and is predominantly process lead.
Martine likes to find balance within what she choose to control and where the materials take her. Martine's work often explores abstract landscapes, sometimes as a direct response to what she see around her and sometimes her palette becomes highly saturated and evocative of a purely emotional response .
Martine's love of stitch and it’s connotations to ‘women’s work’ sneaks into her practice regularly, connecting her to the past and looking to the future.
Martine strives to bring a sense of place, hope and magic to the viewer.
